Abstract:

Italy is one of the fastest aging countries in the world. This aging population is putting a strain on the Italian healthcare system, which is already struggling to cope with the demand for care. ‘Sereni Orizzonti’ is a leading provider of residential care for the elderly in Italy. The company is committed to providing high-quality care, and it is also committed to sustainability. The company’s sell and lease-back strategy has been successful, and it is a model that could be used by other companies in the residential care sector. ‘Sereni Orizzonti’ is well-positioned to succeed in the growing market for residential care for the elderly. The article contributes to the literature on the aging population in Italy by providing a case study of a leading provider of residential care for the elderly. The article highlights the challenges and opportunities facing the Italian healthcare system as it seeks to meet the needs of an aging population.
