ABSTRACT

Some Christians have shown, using probability calculations, that the prophecies of the prophets in the Bible predicted with such exceptionally high values confirm the truthfulness of the Bible. This alone should be enough to refute the agnostic claim that the existence of God cannot be proven. I too have always believed that one should not seek proof of the God’s existence; for then one would no longer need to believe, which is often testified to in the Bible. Jesus once said: „Blessed are those who do not see you and yet believe in you!“, John 20:29. Prof. Dr. Werner Gitt performed such a probability calculation in his book „Information, der Schlüssel zum Leben [1].
He writes:
The probability that all these prophecies will come true by chance is calculated by multiplying 0.5
3268 times as follows:

p = 0.5 : delite: “etc delite w = ... by” according to Dake’s Bible72 [D1], 3268 verses of biblical prophecy73 have been fulfilled.
The magnitude of this number w is so importand to us because it will give us a measure of the trustworthiness of the Bible.
The number w = 1.7 · 10-984 is immensely small.
In this article, a physical-mathematical proof of the existence of God, thereby refuting the agnostic claim. Keywords: Physical-Mathematical Proof, Probability Calculations, Prophecies of the Prophets, Truthfulness of the Bible, Agnostic Claim, Existence of God

Treatise

The „Equivalence of Information and Effect” has been published in several international journals [2-4]. Mathematically formulated, the corresponding formula is:

Thus, one can say: Information is Effect as well as Information is reality. The well-known Nobel laureate ANTON ZEILINGER from the Institute for Quantum information in Vienna says:

„Information and reality are one and the same thing on the same medal”.

Even if reality is not a concept of physics and the concept of effect has no particularly descriptive meaning in physics, one can understand physical reality as a single effect or as the sum of all effects.

If Information (Word) equals reality, then this also constitutes proof of God; for it is written in Gospel of John 1:1-3: „In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”.

Vers 3: „All things, including disdainful matter and everything we can see and grasp, including all of reality were created by Him, ad without Him nothing of what was created was created.

If God was and is the Word (Information), then the proof of God is provided; for then God is reality and real. Now we Christians worship God and not the visible reality, we reject this, but we recognize in the reality God’s work and admire at his creation of the universe [5-6].

Conclusion

The agnostic claim that God cannot be proven is therefore refuted.
